What is Five Leagues?

Five Leagues is a season-based online functional fitness-league system for all athletes who are looking for an additional challenge alongside their regular training. 

As a member, you have the opportunity to compare yourself with other athletes at your fitness level. Set new goals, increase your motivation and work on your weaknesses to achieve the best placement in your league!

With our league system consisting of five different leagues almost anyone can participate. Every league has a different skill and weight level to give you the challenge you need. Check out our movementlist to see which league is most fitting for you!

Be part of the season!

Our Five League system is based on two seasons each year. The winter season lasts from February to June and the summer season runs from August to December.

On the 1st of each active month you will receive the event with the workout description and everything else you need. From this point on you have until the 30th of the month to enter your results and provide us with the link for the video evidence.

Am I fit enough to participate?

With our five different leagues, we offer almost everyone the opportunity to take part. Take a look at the movement list. If you have mastered the movements and weight requirements for a league, you can get started.

Which equipment do I need to participate?

This depends on the league you are participating in. Basically, the following equipment should be available: barbell with weights, dumbbells, kettlebells, rowing machine, assault or echo bike, medicine ball, plyo box, skipping rope, pull-up bar.

How long does a season last?

You have the opportunity to take part in two seasons per year .
The winter season runs from February 1st to June 30th.The summer season runs fromAugust 1st to December 31st.

How can I participate in a season?

It's very simple! Download our app. Register there and purchase a season pass in our online shop or directly in the app. NOTE: Discounts are only available in our online shop. Find out beforehand.

I'm not sure which league I should compete in?

Use the Movement List as a guide . If you are still unsure about the requirements, we recommend starting in the lower league. It is better to be promoted at the end of the season than to be relegated.

Do I have to be a member of a gym/box or studio to participate?

No! You don't have to be a member of any gym, box or studio to join Five Leagues.

You can participate as long as you have access to the necessary equipment and a camera.

Do I have to rerank after each season?

No, you either move up a leagues, move down or hold your place in your active league depending on your scores throughout the whole season.

Why do I have to submit video evidence?

Video evidence is necessary so that our judges can see whether all the rules, times and movement requirements of the athletes have been adhered to. This is the only way to ensure a fair competition.

How do I upload the videos?

You can upload your video directly in the FIVE LEAGUES APP. Your uploaded videos will be deleted at the end of the season. Alternatively, you can use well-known providers such as YouTube. There you create an account and can easily upload your videos. Don't worry, you can choose in the settings that your video is not public, but only accessible via the link provided. You can also upload the video directly via the WODproof app. In the FIVE LEAGUES APP you then only have to enter the URL.
